New South Wales has recorded another 1218 cases of COVID, a new pandemic high for the state. Another six COVID-related casualties were also confirmed, taking the total number of lives lost in the outbreak to 89.
Of the new cases announced on Sunday, 887 are from west and south west Sydney, with another 27 from the state’s west and far west. Premier Gladys Berejikian said those areas remain the “greatest areas of concern” in the state.
